Shite actress, master of nō art, representing the Hōshō school; born in Tokyo in 1990, eldest

daughter of Takeda Takashi, nō actor. She studied the art of acting under her father and the 20th head of the school, Hōshō Kazufusa. In 1994, she made her stage debut in a dance (shimai) entitled Genjō (String), and in 2013, she played the lead role in a nō drama entitled Yoshino Shizuka (Shizuka in Yoshino). She was awarded the Ataka Award and the Graduate School Acanthus Music Award for outstanding academic achievement as a student at Tokyo University of the Arts. She has performed and taught the dramatic art of nō in Japan, the USA, Italy, France, Sweden, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates and Denmark. She is a member of the Nō Actors Association of the Hōshō School and the Association of erformers of Nō Theatre (Nōgakukai).
