At PJAIT, there is an opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree at the Doctoral School of ICT & Design.

The Doctoral School of ICT & Design offers a unique combination of two disciplines:

  • Information Technology
  • Fine Arts

The program is built on the exceptional experience of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in interdisciplinary education. Courses are taught in English and follow a full-time, on-campus format.

Art and technology inspire and develop each other. ICT is not only a field based on hard facts and figures, but also on design skills, creativity and aesthetics, which influence the way people use information technologies. In turn, the achievements of ICT, such as generative artificial intelligence, have a major impact on the development of fine arts.

PhD students at the school conduct research in either Information Technology or the Fine Arts.

We are announcing a competition to increase the doctoral scholarship to a gross amount of PLN 5,000 for first and second year PhD students of the ICT & Design Doctoral School. The scholarship is funded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange under the STER NAWA Program - Internationalization of Doctoral Schools, in the Project entitled Internationalized ICT & Design Doctoral School - a set of activities for the internationalization of education and research at the ICT & Design Doctoral School.

Method, place and deadline for submission of applications: By email to biuro_prorektora@pja.edu.pl on or before October 3, 2025.

Announcement of results: by October 13, 2025 on the ICT & Design PhD School website.
