Today, graphic design much more than just aesthetics. It’s about creating visual communication that shapes brands, culture, media, and the way people perceive the world. In theGraphic Design & Multimedia Artsprogram at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, you’ll develop your creativity, learn to design using modern technologies, and build a portfolio that will open the door to an international career.

What will you learn?

During your studies, you’ll develop skills in visual communication design, brand identity development, illustration, animation, digital publishing, and multimedia projects.
You’ll learn the entire design process—from problem analysis and conceptual work, through design and prototyping, to the presentation of the final solution. Terms such as “design thinking,” “bleeds,” “render,” and “perspective” will become familiar to you.

You’ll learn to combine creativity with technology, utilizing multimedia, artificial intelligence, and modern digital tools to create projects that meet the needs of a rapidly changing world.

In the Graphic Design & Multimedia Artsprogram, you’ll develop your own creative language, learn to consciously use multimedia and modern technologies, and build a portfolio that will serve as your calling card. This is the place for people who want to create projects that have a real impact on culture, media, and communication.

You can combine traditional media—such as screen printing, riso printing, and etching—with computer animation, 3D animation, and interactive animation. Reach the heights of your imagination thanks to the software and modern equipment available in the laboratories of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Computer Technology.

You could be the one to create the storylines for game characters that you design and program from start to finish. And the most ambitious social projects can see the light of day thanks to numerous competitions and international exposure.

The Polish-Japanese Academy of Computer Technology is a place for creative people who dream of passionately building their own career paths.

After graduating, you’ll be prepared to work in 2D and 3D design, visual identity, storytelling, and animated film production. You’ll have the skills to think critically and use the latest AI solutions. You’ll be able to defend your projects and boldly take on the world.

The first stage of study for the graphic design and Multimedia Arts degree is bachelor's degree (undergraduate), which is held in the mode:

Full-time

In English (full-time studies) - 6 semesters.

Graphic design and the art of multimedia is a course taught exclusively in English, created on the basis of ten years of work in an international design environment and the experience (during two years of pandemic restrictions) of moving educational and creative activity into the sphere of the Internet, the intensive development of blended learning. The spread of this form of education and social interaction has increased the demand for employment of digital graphic designers. 

Anticipating the growth of the design market for the Internet and Smart Environments, the Graphic Design & Multimedia Art program prepares graduates to work for an international community communicating with digital tools in a complex reality, taking into account both our real and virtual environments.


The study of graphic design and multimedia arts is an interdisciplinary program, imparting thorough knowledge, awareness and competence in the creation of communication.

Classes and workshops are conducted by artists, designers, engineers representing different nationalities, cultures and academia. area The considered design problems go beyond the local area, which gives the opportunity to see the role of the contemporary designer in the context of the global needs of civilization. Selected projects, created in cooperation with representatives of companies and institutions, are realized and implemented. This gives the opportunity to test their skills already during their studies.

Graphic design and multimedia art is all about practicing and developing design/art skills by using modern applications to create visual works in 2D and 3D environments. Students in the major work on a daily basis on projects using Unity, Blender, Maya, TouchDesigner and Adobe CC software. Realistic cooperation between friendly institutes and cultural units gives the opportunity to create attractive and unique visual, light, music and interactive creations.
