Privacy Policy 

(1) By using the Portal, you accept this Privacy Policy.

(2) Personal data in the Portal may be collected through the following activities:

  • information provided in the forms posted on the Portal,
  • information collected automatically while using the Portal, i.e.:
  • information saved automatically in the logs of the servers and the Portal, e.g.
  • IP address, page request sent by the user, date and time of the request,
  • browser type, browser language, device data, operating system type,
  • "cookies" – small text files sent by the Portal to the device
  • user visiting the Portal (e.g., computer, smartphone).

(3) Information collected by automated means is used for the following purposes:

  • administering the servers and the Portal,
  • ensuring security and protection of data and the Portal,
  • ensuring the provision of specific services to the user,
  • adapting the Portal to the needs of users,
  • creating statistics of page views of the Portal's subpages,
  • Maintaining the user's session (after logging in), so that the user does not have to re-enter the Login and Password on each sub-page of the website

4. cookies are used for the following purposes:

  • ensuring the proper operation of the Portal's websites in the user's browser,
  • facilitating the user's use of the Portal and tailoring it to the user's needs,
  • remembering the user's individual settings and preferences,
  • Creating Portal statistics to learn about user expectations and developing the Portal to make it easier to reach the most frequently searched information (e.g., by analyzing search engine queries).

  • used to remember preferences for selecting the type of events in the news calendar (culture, science, conference, lecture, competition),
  • used to remember font size and contrast preferences (contrast, text-size),
  • used in voting systems.

(7) You have the ability to configure your own web browser to completely or partially disable the storage of "cookies" on your device. Disabling the storage of "cookies" may result in some features of the Portal not working properly. How to block "cookies" files:

  • The user can decide whether or not to save "cookies" in their browser settings.
  • In Firefox browser: Options -> Privacy
  • In Chrome browser: Settings ->; Advanced settings -> Privacy
    -> Content settings
  • In the Opera browser: Preferences -> Advanced -> Cookies
  • In each browser the "cookies" settings are set separately.

8. PJAIT is not responsible for the privacy policies of external entities, among other services to which it links. Users should familiarize themselves with the policies of these entities.

9. PJAIT makes every effort to protect the Portal together with the data processed on it, among other things, from unauthorized access by third parties. To this end, PJAIT uses physical security measures, security systems to protect access to servers and the site, and cryptographic solutions. Personal data are made available only to those employees and entities to whom they are necessary for the performance of their tasks and are processed only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

10. PJAIT , while processing the data, shall comply with the provisions on the protection of personal data, including the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free flow of such data and the repeal of Directive 95/46/EC (so-called RODO).

11. personal data of users taken for the purposes described in points. 3 and 4 of this Privacy Policy will be processed for the period necessary for the purpose in question.

12.The user has the right to request personal data from the controller:

  • access to your personal data,
  • rectification thereof,
  • restriction of their processing,
  • transfer of data to another data controller,
  • filing an objection.

13.You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection if you consider that the processing of your personal data violates the provisions of the RODO.
