Cotutelle

Our doctoral student, Arkadiusz Modzelewski, is a doctoral student enrolled simultaneously in doctoral programs at two universities: the Brain, Mind and Computer Science program at the University of Padua and the Computer Science program at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology. Enrollment in both programs is possible thanks to Cotutelle's contract, which allows international recognition and prestige for his research, as well as two degrees.

Arkadiusz's research work, supervised by Prof. Dr. Adam Wierzbicki and Prof. Giovanni Da San Martino, focuses on detecting misinformation, manipulation and persuasion techniques in textual data, combining technical knowledge with social influence. Prof. Da San Martino of the University of Padova's research interests are at the intersection of machine learning and natural language processing. In particular, he has worked extensively on detecting persuasion and misinformation techniques in texts and multimodal environments.

The University of Padua is the second oldest university in Italy, and the fifth oldest in the world. It was founded in 1222 and has enjoyed an international reputation for centuries, having educated outstanding scientists such as Andreas Vesalius and Galileo Galilei. We are pleased that our doctoral student has the opportunity to develop in such an environment.
