Research
Research conducted by the Multimedia Department includes issues of usability of interfaces, speech, multimedia data analysis and multimedia applications in medicine.
The research interests of the Department's staff include the problems of recognition and translation, as well as speech synthesis, research on speech defects, sign language recognition, analysis of music and musical instruments, usability in medicine and therapeutics, as well as augmented reality and image analysis.
The Department's staff conducts work in national and international projects and participates in statutory research PJAIT. The Department organizes a regular conference on MIDI usability(link) and conducts seminars with the participation of staff and students PJAIT and invited guests.

Teaching activities

The staff of the Multimedia Department teaches a number of classes, mainly at the Department of Computer Science and the Department of New Media Arts PJAIT. The topics of the classes mainly include the creation and operation of multimedia applications, as well as photography, graphics, animation and sound. The Department offers students 3 specializations in the Department of Computer Science, while the Department's staff also provide assistance to students of the Faculty of New Media Art as technical supervisors.
Laboratories and equipment
Our Department has professional laboratories equipped with the latest equipment and software necessary for teaching.
Students of the Multimedia Department and students of the studio NeMA, working under the supervision of our didacticians have access to equipment that allows them to work on the most modern software.
