Curricula and syllabi

The curriculum for part-time studies at the Faculty of New Media Arts, Bachelor's degree, has been aligned with the curriculum of full-time studies.

All mandatory lectures and exercise classes conducted in full-time studies are included in part-time studies with an adjusted number of hours. Changes have also been made to the organization of diploma studios, which, starting from the 2023/2024 academic year, will be elective, chosen from 6 available thematic studios. The new studio system will apply from the 4th semester of studies for 3 consecutive semesters until graduation.

The elective studios are accompanied by specialized elective subjects that deepen the students' knowledge acquired during semesters 1–3 through mandatory classes.

The change in the way diploma labs are implemented is a key element of the new part-time program. Currently, the student's work on the diploma is carried out exclusively in the mode of consultations with Supervisors and independent work outside of class hours, and the student has a choice of only two subject areas assigned to animation and visualization.

The introduced change will allow for the creation of class groups for selected studios, and the curriculum—tailored to the type of diploma studios—will depend on the student's interests.

Regardless of this, the curriculum for semesters 4–6 has been supplemented with new, previously untaught lectures and exercises, which will significantly broaden the knowledge acquired by students during their studies.

Diploma Exam Rules at NeMA
