Admissions process for studies at PJAIT


1. Online registration

Create an account on the recruitment portal: rekrutacja.pjwstk.edu.pl

You will receive an activation link, and once your account is activated, you will gain access to your profile. Fill out the forms and make sure to upload your photo (format: ID photo / passport photo). Be sure to choose the field of study you are applying for.


2. Provision of documents

Prepare the required documents, save them in.pdf format, upload the relevant files to the recruitment portal.

Required documents:

  1. Application for admission - the completed form can be downloaded from your profile in the recruitment portal after uploading a digital proof photo. Candidates who do not upload a photo will not be able to download the application from the portal. Remember to sign the application! Applications with an inappropriate photo will not be accepted;
  2. High school diploma - the applicant uploads a legible color scan. After receiving the admission decision, presents the original, a copy or a photocopy certified by a notary public.   3. proof of payment for the interview (PLN 150). Payment to the individual account number - visible on your recruitment profile.

NOTE: Foreigners who want to study in Polish-language studies must know Polish at a minimum B2 level. Certificates in language verification - check.


3. Studies qualification

Admission to studies is based on submitting a portfolio of artwork and an admission interview

Interviews full-time are held at the University's campus.

Online interviews are intended only for foreigners who are not currently in Poland.

In order to sign up for an interview, the candidate is required to pay it in the amount of PLN 150, and then after the Admission Office accepts the payment, select the appropriate date in the portal.

The candidate must sign up for an interview (through the enrolment portal).


PORTFOLIO candidates must bring with them on the day of the admission interview. The portfolio consists of:

drawing

10 works – drawing of a human figure from life (any quantity), still life (any quantity), other forms of drawings (any quantity).

painting

10 works – landscape, still life, other painting forms (paintings created in any technique on paper or cardboard).

photography

10 works – color or black and white. The subject can be a portrait, landscape, country landscape, any composition, or reportage. The photograph can be provided in the form of prints (minimum 10 pieces in A5 format or larger), and can also be on a laptop / tablet in digital version.

Drawing, painting – preferred format: 100×70 cm or 70×100 cm; minimum format: 50×70 cm and 70×50 cm.

Portfolio for part-time studies is prepared according to the guidelines above. The number of types of works (figure, still life, etc.) is optional.

On-site interviews take place at the academy.

Note: candidates must bring their portfolio of works directly to the interview.


The results of the interviews will be published within 1 business day after the interview. 

We would like to remind you that the decision on qualification for studies is made only after meeting all formal requirements, i.e.: registration, providing a set of required documents and successfully passing the interview.

Upon meeting all the conditions described above, the academy has two weeks to send a decision on qualification for studies.


The academy offers free consultations for artistic portfolios.


4. Contract, fee, and submission of original documents

A contract is made available along with the qualification decision. Both documents are downloadable from the recruitment profile.

Candidates qualified for the study are required within 2 weeks: 

1. pay the first installment of tuition fees. Payments should be made to the individual account number available on the profile in the recruitment system.

2. sign a contract with the University. A contract is a type of agreement that specifies PJAIT 's obligations to you and yours to PJAIT. Once completed and signed, it must be uploaded to your enrollment profile. The contract must be scanned legibly into a .pdf file, keeping the pages in order.

3. deliver the original high school diploma to the Recruitment Department. The candidate is obliged to present the original matriculation certificate, its copy or a photocopy certified by a notary public. High school diploma can also be sent by mail (registered mail) or courier. The above document can also be provided by a "third party" such as a parent.


If your studies are paid for by your employer, for example, you can sign a contract with an Academy-Sponsor-Student annex. Please indicate this need when signing the contract.

Note: For candidates signing the contract one week before the end of the PJAIT admissions period, the University does not guarantee the issuance of a student ID card and the activation of the account on the University server before classes begin.


Zero NMA Course (Polish language course)

Course Zero is a special program aimed at people who want to apply to Faculty of New Media Art and in the future develop their passions and opportunities at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Computer Technology.

This program aims to prepare candidates for entrance exams and familiarize them with the learning process undertaken in the first year of studies. The course spans two semesters of classes (420 academic hours), during which prospective students will create their digital and traditional portfolios under the guidance of the PJAIT faculty. Our experienced instructors will also prepare future candidates for the interview.
