Studio equipment

  • The lamps allow for photography with ultra-short flash durations that freeze motion, as well as multiple flashes during a single exposure with adjustable delays. The lamps are equipped with lighting modifiers such as softboxes, grids, barn doors, stripboxes, reflectors, and snoots. The remaining lighting equipment is complemented by reporter flashes, which are portable battery-powered light sources.
  • In the studio, we have a device called a Pixelstick. It features 200 LEDs and allows for the display of any graphics. As a result, we create creative light-painting spaces. The photo studio is used for both teaching and research work. We teach students of New Media Arts, Interior Architecture, and Computer Science.
  • The studio is equipped with continuous and flash lighting. Particularly noteworthy are the professional lamps from the Swiss company Broncolor, whose power and parameters can be controlled using mobile devices.
  • The studio is equipped with full-frame digital SLR cameras featuring a wide dynamic range of light-sensitive sensors. During classes, we teach students about architecture, lighting physics, and creative technologies. For example, students create double-exposure photographs by implementing their own blur filter.

So far, several research papers have been produced and published at peer-reviewed international conferences. The studio has its own Instagram account #studiopjatk, where selected student works are showcased.
