Studio equipment
- The flashes allow shooting with ultra-short flashes allowing to freeze motion, multiple flashes during one exposure with adjustable delays. The lamps are equipped with lighting modifiers such as softboxes, grids, gates, stripboxes, reflectors and streamers. The rest of the lighting is supplemented by reporter lamps, which are portable lighting sources with battery power.
- In the studio we have a device called Pixelstick. It has 200 diodes, and allows us to display any graphics. As a result, we realize creative spaces painted with light. The photo studio is used for both teaching and academic work. We teach students of New Media Art, Interior Design and Computer Science.
- The studio is equipped with continuous and flash lamps. Noteworthy are professional lamps from the Swiss company Broncolor, whose power as well as parameters can be controlled via mobile devices.
- The studio is equipped with full-frame DSLR cameras that have a large tonal range of light-sensitive sensors. In classes, we teach students about architecture, the physics of lighting, and creative technologies. For example, students realize double-exposure photography by realizing their own blur filter.
To date, several scientific papers have been published in peer-reviewed and international conferences. The studio has its own account on Instagram #studiopjatk on which selected student works are presented.
