Postgraduate studies "Bioinformatics."

The postgraduate program in bioinformatics at PJAIT integrates knowledge from biology, medicine and computer science. The program includes, among others, programming in Python and R (from the 3rd edition), database management, omics data analysis (genomics, proteomics), modeling of biomolecular structures and machine learning algorithms. Students gain hands-on experience by implementing projects and working on real data (from the 3rd edition). More information: Bioinformatics PJAIT.

The program is divided into two semesters and includes subjects addressing such issues as:

  • Introduction to bioinformatics
  • Programming in Python and R
  • Containerization in bioinformatics
  • Biostatistics and visualization
  • Machine learning in bioinformatics
  • Bioinformatics in genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics
  • Interested persons are welcome. Recruitment is conducted every six months.

subject is implemented in the 6th semester of full-time first degree program in Computer Science and the 7th semester of part-time first degree program in Computer Science, also in online and English-language mode.
