Members of the Kaizen Debate Club from the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology achieved impressive success at a tournament organized by the Negotiation Club atŁazarski University. The Debate and Negotiation Tournament aimed to develop communication skills, critical thinking, teamwork, and argumentation among students. In accordance with the competition rules, teams consisted of two members, and the debates were conducted in English.
The representatives of the Kaizen Debate Club demonstrated a very high level of preparation, confidence, and rhetorical skill. Their performances were well-received by both the audience and the judges. We are particularly proud of the fact that only teams from the Kaizen Debate Club advanced to the debate tournament finals, ultimately taking the top two spots.
Arseni Mahulenka andViktoriia Chulkova received the Audience Award. Izabela Pawlukowska andJeremi Lipniacki won the Grand Prize awarded by the jury, and thus took first place in the competition.
The success of the Kaizen Debate Club members demonstrates the importance of consistent effort, mutual support, and the development of soft skills in an academic setting. Participating in the tournament was not only an opportunity to compete, but also to exchange experiences, test their skills under pressure, and represent the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology at an intercollegiate forum.
We warmly congratulate all participants and winners on this outstanding achievement. The fact that the final consisted entirely of teams from the Kaizen Debate Club is the best proof of our students’ high level of debating skill.
