We are pleased to invite you to a free modern kintsugi workshop for beginners.

Modern kintsugi is a contemporary take on the Japanese art of kintsugi, which breathes new life into broken objects. It combines traditional philosophy with modern design, using materials that work perfectly well in a home setting.

During the workshop, we’ll glue pieces of pottery together and give them a new form, discovering beauty in their imperfections. It’s a practice of mindfulness, relaxation, and hands-on work.

The workshop will be led by Ania Gubernat—an artist, illustrator, and educator who combines the Western tradition of ornamentation with the Japanese philosophy of the beauty of imperfection.

Space is limited (10 people). Registration is handled via a form that you can find in the PJAIT Alumni Club newsletter. Those on the participant list and the waiting list will be notified by email and asked to confirm their participation shortly before the start of the classes.
