TDC71: Lecture and Exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art

On Saturday, April 18, 2026, the official opening of the exhibition featuring the winning entries fromthe 71st Type Directors Club Annual Competition took place.

The events marking the opening of the exhibition at the MSN were accompanied by a program dedicated to typography. Dr. Monika Marek-Łucka ( PJAIT) , curator of the TDC Archive, spoke aboutthe history of the TDC and the competition itself. Marian Misiak and Pola Małaczewska from Three Dots Type/Slanted presented the post-competition publication Typography 46, providing an overview of the entire design process. The stage also featured experts in the field of typography—Prof. Ewa Satalecka (PJAIT Warsaw), Prof. Mateusz Machalski (Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw), Dr. Ania Wieluńska (Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw), Dr. Ada Pawlikowska (Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk), Dr. Joanna Tyborowska (Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków), Dr. Monika Marek-Łucka (PJAIT Warsaw), Marian Misiak, andPola Małaczewska —who jointly commented on the award-winning projects and discussed contemporary typographic challenges.
