We invite you to listen to a podcast featuring Dr. Jakub Karpoluk, a lecturer at PJAIT, who was a guest on the latest episode of Radio Krakow's "Honor Above the Law" program.

The story is set in Japan in the early 18th century. The ruler of the principality of Ako, Asano Naganori, is sentenced to death for allegedly trying to attack his rival, Kira Yoshinaka. After his death, Asano's samurai lose their position and are exiled. Some of them, led by Oishi (played in the film by Hiroyuki Sanada), decide to avenge their master. The film plot also introduces fantasy themes, including the character of Kai (Keanu Reeves), but the story is based on true events considered in Japan as a symbol of loyalty and honor. Our lecturer was interviewed by Mateusz Bożek - a journalist for Radio Krakow.
