Theexhibition“Krzysztof Findziński’s Collection: A Cabinet of Memories—Asia”draws inspiration from the cabinets of curiosities of the past—spaces where objects from different cultures, eras, and worlds coexisted side by side. The museum describes the exhibition as a story about a collection that can be both a gathering of objects and a record of life.
The participation of students from the PJAIT Department of New Media Arts PJAIT this narrative to include the perspective of contemporary animation. The works of these young artists demonstrate that memory can be interpreted not only throughsubject, the archive, or the document, but also through movement, image, rhythm, and digital tools.
This is an important example of collaboration between an arts and technology university and a cultural institution. It demonstrates how education in the field of new media can engage in a dialogue with museums, collections, personal histories, and the cultural heritage of Asia.
The project was supervised byDr. Anna Eichler.

We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in the project. We would also like to thank the Museum of Asia and the Pacificfor the invitation and for its willingness to collaborate with the Polish-Japanese Academy of Computer Technology.
We are delighted that the animations created by students of the PJAIT Department of New Media Art PJAIT be featured in an exhibition that combines personal history, collecting, Asian culture, and contemporary forms of artistic expression.
These short animated films, created by students at the PJAIT Department of New Media Arts, PJAIT original interpretations of two ofKrzysztof Findziński’s childhood memories. It was these memories that served as one of the inspirations that led him to take up collecting.
The exhibition at the Museum of Asia and the Pacific presents the collection not only as a collection of objects, but also as a record of life, memory, travel, and personal experiences. The museum emphasizes that the exhibition features objects from Asia, most of which were donated by Krzysztof Findziński, a collector, painter, and the subject of the exhibition.
In this context, the animations created by PJAIT students PJAIT as a contemporary commentary on the theme of memory. They translate childhood memories, objects, and a fascination with Asia into the language of moving images, new media, and visual experimentation.

🎨 👾 graphic design multimedia art(first and second cycle studies)
🪑📏 interior design (first- and second-cycle studies)
The works on display were created using a variety of animation techniques. The students used, among other things,stop-motionanimation andAI-assisted techniques.
This diversity aptly reflects the nature of education at the PJAIT Department of New Media Arts, where traditional artistic techniques intersect with technology, experimentation, and individual creative sensibilities. Each animation is a unique interpretation of a memory, but they are all united by a reflection on how childhood images can shape the imagination, aesthetic sensibilities, and future artistic choices.
The films will be shown ina stereoscopelocated within the exhibition space. Due to the nature of the exhibition, the animations will be shownwithout sound, as short visual stories that are part of the museum’s narrative.
