From August 1 to 10 of this year, the Tomioka White Art Museum (Minamiuonuma, Niigata Prefecture) is hosting an exhibition of works by students and faculty of the Faculty of New Media Arts of PJAIT entitled (Re)interpretations of Japanese Art. The exhibition is curated by Prof. Maki Nagumo (Rikkyo University) and Dr. Jakub Karpoluk (PJAIT). The exhibition will feature kakejiku hanging scrolls and byōbu folding screens, which were created during the Traditional Japanese Painting workshops (May 15–19, 2023) conducted by the curators at PJAIT.

The exhibition will also feature works by Prof. Maki Nagumo, as well as paintings and graphic works by Prof. Anna Eichler, a painting lecturer at the Faculty of New Media Arts of PJAIT.

The organization of the exhibition was made possible thanks to cooperation between PJAIT, Rikkyo University in Tokyo, and the Tomioka White Art Museum.
