Folk "spiders" are chandelier-like decorations that were hung on the eastern wall of the living room. These spiders, also known as "kierce," are said to bring good luck and prosperity wherever they appear. They are made from natural materials: straw, yarn, frayed canvas, and paper. They were found throughout Poland. Spiders took on various shapes, ranging from simple crystalline forms to very complex, intricate structures.

Each participant will have the opportunity to make their own Easter decoration using the materials provided; they may also use templates and their own materials.

The workshop will be led by Olga Wroniewicz.
