We love to brag about the successes of our students, and Natasza Pierzchała-Suska certainly deserves a special mention! Her work is an excellent example of an innovative approach to multimedia that combines the use of the latest technology, creativity and artistic sensibility. Natasha is a master's student at Graphic Design andMultimedia Arts at PJAIT. She recently presented her skills in two unique events.
Hisako Tachibana concert in PJAIT
This year's Museum Night at PJAIT featured a remarkable concert by Japanese artist Hisako Tachibana. She is a master (shihan) of the koto harp and shamisen, representing the Miyagi school. The concert was enhanced by visuals created by Natasza. The modern aesthetics of the visuals, combined with traditional Japanese sounds, created an eclectic but harmonious visual and audio experience. The concert was curated by PJAIT lecturer and supervisor Natasza's thesis, Prof. Jakub Karpoluk. We encourage you to watch the video of the event.
Concert of music from Studio Ghibli films at the Manggha Museum
Another concert, visually enhanced by Natasza, took place on July 6 at the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology in Krakow. This unusual concert by Sinfonietta Cracovia musicians was dedicated to the films of Studio Ghibli. This event combined classical music with electronics and a multimedia show, prepared by Natasza. Using a modern mapping technique, she created visuals inspired by the style of anime. Her work helped transport the audience directly into the worlds created by Hayao Miyazaki. The completed visualization was part of her master's thesis, prepared under the supervision of Dr. Jakub Karpoluk, who is the liaison for many projects with the Manggha Museum. Since January 2024 (when PJAIT andManngha signed a cooperation agreement), we have been implementing joint educational, artistic and exhibition activities. Significantly, this year both institutions are celebrating their thirtieth anniversary, which provided an ideal opportunity to establish cooperation and celebrate together.

"Cyberpunk" concert at the Manggha Museum
Natasza also performed visuals for another concert in the Elektro Sinfonietta series, "Cyberpunk." The concert combined the classical sounds of Sinfonietta Cracovia's chamber musicians and modern electronic music by the Fisherboyz duo. The whole was complemented by Natasha's visuals, which allowed the audience to immerse themselves in the dystopian and futuristic worlds of cyberpunk.

"Studying at PJAIT has given me the opportunity to develop my artistic interests in practice. I perform on a real stage with experienced artists and meet people from the industry. Through international workshops, I learn new techniques from respected artists and lecturers."
