Join us for a unique concert by a Japanese artist. Hisako Tachibana is a Master (shihan) of the koto harp and shamisen, representing the Miyagi school. She has been playing solo concerts and collaborating with various instrumentalists for many years, and her repertoire includes traditional as well as contemporary pieces. The concert will be enriched with visuals prepared by student PJAIT, Natasha Pierzchala-Suska. The concert is curated by Prof. Jakub Karpoluk, a lecturer at PJAIT.
The artist will play the same concert twice:
20:00 - 1st concert
21:00 - 2nd concert

Hisako Tachibana - Master (shihan) of the koto harp and shamisen representing the Miyagi School, founder of the Sakura Okoto Music School. She has been playing solo concerts as well as collaborating with various instrumentalists (including piano, violin, clarinet, shinobue flute) for many years, and her repertoire includes traditional as well as contemporary pieces. She has been creating musical settings for theater productions for many years, and has performed in the musical Sendai Cat (Sendai Cat) and the play Two Women from the Land of Snow, among others. She has written music for the plays Masaoka Shiki: Journey to the Land of Michinoku and The World of the Radiant Prince. She has performed in Japan, Poland, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore, among other countries.
