We are proud to announce that our student of the Faculty of New Media Arts, Natasza Pierzchała-Suska, will take part in a concert devoted to music from Studio Ghibli films together with musicians from Sinfonietta Cracovia.

This unique event in the Elektro Sinfonietta series intertwines classical music with electronics, as well as with a multimedia show prepared live by Natasza. In order to create visualisations inspired by the anime style, he will use the modern mapping technique. The images she creates will provide the audience with a multi-sensory experience and send the audience on a journey into the magical worlds created by the legendary director Hayao Miyazaki. This veritable synthesis of the arts takes place as part of the Elektro Sinfonietta series, which explores the different sounds of the anime film genre in four different concerts. The whole is the result of cooperation between the Sinfonietta Cracovia ensemble and the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology.

The concert will take place on July 6 in the multimedia hall of the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology in Krakow. There will be two one-hour screenings – at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Between them, in the main hall, guests will be able to feel the Japanese atmosphere with an ambient DJ by Maciej Milczarek. After 9 p.m., there will be a city pop party hosted by Marcin "Harper" Hubert.

This is not the first intersection of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology and the Manggha Museum. In January 2024, representatives of both institutions met to sign a cooperation agreement. The meeting was a ceremonial beginning of joint educational, artistic and exhibition activities. Importantly, this year both PJAIT, as well as Manggha, are celebrating their thirtieth anniversary, which is an ideal opportunity to establish cooperation and celebrate together.

The visualization that Natasha will make is her master's thesis, which she is preparing at PJAIT under the supervision of Dr. Jakub Karpoluk. Dr. Karpoluk is the liaison for many collaborative projects with the Manggha Museum.
