More about the conference program www.atypi.org.
Thanks to the long-standing activity of Ms. Dean, Dr. Ewa Satalecka, Prof. PJAIT, the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology organized the ATypI World Typography Congress in 2016 in Warsaw. Since then, PJAIT students have been actively supporting the conference in the formula of student internships, gathering experience and learning about the world of typography and design from behind the scenes.
ATypI conferences are unique and significant events for the design world, providing a meeting place for typeface designers, publishers, creatives, educators and other members of the global typography, technology and design community. They are held in an inspiring environment and atmosphere of creativity. They create an open space for integration and discussion, sharing experiences from different cultures, gaining contacts and mentoring.
PJAIT is an educational partner of the conference.
International exhibition of typographic student posters. TYPE TEXT → ROOTS at the exhibition accompanying the conference. AtypI in Brisbane, Australia, 16-20.2024
TYPE TEXT → ROOTS is an international typography project in which more than 200 students, from 16 countries and 18 universities around the world, participated in 2024!
The students participating in the project prepared works depicting their region through typography. Each project is accompanied by a description that explains the author's idea and provides an introduction to a selected issue from their region. This allows us to learn about the signs characteristic of European languages (Poland, Denmark, Lithuania, Germany), the poetics of Farsi or the disappearing languages of the South American region. The organizer of the exhibition is the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology,. At the exhibition in Australia PJAIT represent students:
Ariana Mandzii, Elizaveta Hameza, Emilia Serafin, Gabriela Marcinkowska, Julia Dorywalska, Julia Krajewska, Natalia Wachowicz, Pola Wojdyga, Zofia Witkowska, Zuzanna Walczak, and - at the accompanying show - Ambroziak Magdalena, Bohutska Anastasiia, Buloichyk Elena, Cichońska Amelia, Deyko Kseniya, Eismont Vlada, Herulia Sofiia, Itkina Daria, Kembłowska Milena, Kondrat Kateryna, Karaśkiewicz Nikola, Markouskaya Darya, Smytkiewicz Ismena, Urban Zuzanna, Wojak Aleksandra, Woźniak Karolina, Wróbel Maria, Zaręba Aleksandra.
