About us
The Department of Databases at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology is engaged in scientific research and teaching in the widely understood fields of databases and applications of computer science in the field of e-learning. The Department's employees have designed and are software developers of basic systems supporting the university's operations, such as e-StudentsStudents' Office and Edux.
The department focuses on the architecture of modern systems, both traditional and web and cloud-based. Ongoing work includes relational and non-relational databases, data warehousing and integration with cloud services.
In the area of data analysis, the Department uses both classical statistical methods and modern approaches from data science and artificial intelligence (AI), such as machine learning and natural language processing. Collaboration with industry and the development of practical data-driven solutions is an important part of the team's activities.
