Tailored curriculum

The curriculum is aligned with the uniform European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) of credits earned by students at different universities. It is also systematically adapted to current trends, technologies and market requirements. Each semester, students have a pool of compulsory subjects, elective lectures and specialty subjects to complete. Thanks to such arrangements, students have an impact on their schedule. All classes that end with a passing exam and a passing grade give the student credit points (ECTS).

Optional classes students can choose only within their specialized field. The topics of master's theses are adapted to the student's interests.

The study of online studies is as follows:

  • Online learning through the university's Edux system throughout the semester.
  • Examination session plus possibly a laboratory session at the end of the semester at the university.

Educational materials are provided in the university's Edux system. Each week, the student works through the given topic independently and completes homework assignments and tests. There is no need to log into the Edux system on a specific date. Neither joint lectures nor exercises are organized online. Educational materials are in html form with multimedia elements added.

Contact with instructors is in the form of weekly, optional consultations on the Microsoft Teams platform and also by email.

The study begins with remote training on the principles of using the Edux platform.

Examination sessions (exams, credits) and laboratory sessions (intensive study of one subject) are held in the standard manner at the university at the end of each semester. The examination session usually lasts 4 days (including the weekend), while the laboratory session lasts 4-5 days (working days and possibly the weekend). Both sessions are combined, so it is sufficient to come to Warsaw once per semester for approximately 9-14 days.

Subjects that are carried out on the premises of the university in a laboratory session:

WSI - Introduction to Information Systems

MUL – Digital systems and fundamentals of electronics

RBD – Relational databases

GRK – graphic design

SYC – Multimedia

BSI – Information Systems Security
