Curriculum by academic year:
The English-language curriculum combines general and specialized knowledge from the fields of:
- art education in the field of fine arts – students acquire comprehensive knowledge in the field of fine arts. They learn the basic issues concerning composition, painting, drawing;
- graphic design – the curriculum covers basic concepts of graphic design, which in student education provides an understanding of the knowability of contemporary design language on a plane and in intermedial space. Particular emphasis is placed on acquainting students with applications for creation and design, as well as the principles of preparing the resulting images for distribution through various communication channels;
- computer science – students receive thorough theoretical and methodical knowledge and acquire practical skills in the following areas: computer operation, multimedia, web design, project organization and management, administration of management information systems, and creating user-friendly, functional graphic and multimedia interfaces.
Students of Bachelor's degree studies in the field of study graphic design will receive thorough theoretical and practical knowledge in selected fields of computer technology applications as well as graphic design. Classes are conducted in English.
Diploma Exam Rules at NeMA
The thesis defense should take place after three years of study at the Faculty of New Media Arts. The rules and topics of the theses should be consulted on an ongoing basis with the supervisors: principal, technical, and theoretical. Both the thesis and its defense take place in English.
The date of the diploma exam in the summer semester 2024/2025:
- July 14-17, 2025
- September 22-25, 2025
Graduate Profile

The professional qualifications of graduates will allow them to consciously make and implement creative decisions. Graduates will possess extended knowledge regarding the function of art history in culture and society, and will be prepared to use traditional and modern means of artistic expression. The proposed education profile gives our graduates a solid foundation for designing in the following areas: advertising, short film forms, video clips, computer games, websites, user interfaces, and 2D and 3D visual information design. This study profile will provide excellent preparation for work in: advertising agencies, television, art galleries, cultural and educational institutions, computer and internet service companies, the film industry, exhibition institutions, and the visual setting of performances.
Thanks to English language classes conducted throughout the entire period of studies, graduates achieve fluency in English. This enables them to find employment in Polish companies and institutions in positions requiring fluent English, in foreign companies and representative offices of international organizations in Poland, as well as abroad. Graduates will be prepared to undertake second-cycle (complementary master's) studies.
