The Polish-Japanese Academy of Computer Science has become a partner of the Polish edition of the international “Go Healthy with Taiwan 2026” competition. The initiative is organized by TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council)—an official government agency promoting Taiwan’s foreign trade. Academic Student Clubs, project teams, and research groups can submit ideas for the application of advanced technologies in the fields of health, sports, and mobility.

Why PJAIT, specifically?

PJAIT has long maintained its position as one of the most prestigious IT education centers in Poland. The degree programs offered are focused on the practical creation of solutions rather than pure theory—the university emphasizes how to effectively combine code with design and specific market needs. As a result, graduates leave the university ready to hit the ground running as professionals for whom working with advanced systems is second nature.

Now, thanks to our collaboration withTAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council), a direct bridge to the global hub of innovation in medicine, sports, and mobility is opening up. The solid technical training and design-oriented approach of the students and researchers PJAIT provide the ideal foundation for translating advanced solutions from the catalog into concrete implementations that will change reality.

What is this challenge all about?

The task is to submit an idea for implementing a specific Taiwanese technology in one of three categories:

  • Smart Healthcare – Diagnostics, Telemedicine, Medical Devices, and Software
  • Sports & Fitness Tech – wearables, sports equipment, training and recovery technologies
  • Smart Mobility – electric bikes, urban mobility, active transportation

The project does not require developing technology from scratch. The starting point is the existing catalog of Taiwan Excellence award-winning products —participants’ task is to present an idea for applying these products in a Polish context: in a research project, at a university, in a startup, or within a local community.

For whom?

This competition is designed for student and research teams—including academic clubs, project groups, and research teams. Teams that combine various skills—technology, design, and a focus on making a real impact on users’ health—tend to perform best.

What can you win?

The top three teams will each receive $30,000 to implement their idea. The finalists will travel to Taiwan for the competition finals and the dedicated “Go Healthy with Taiwan Tour” program (the organizer will fully cover the costs of airfare and accommodation). The winners will also have the opportunity to collaborate directly with Taiwanese brands.

What are the benefits of participating in the contest?

The main grant will go to three teams, but every participant will gain invaluable experience.

Preparing an application allows you to go through the entire market launch process: from competitive analysis, through the implementation model, all the way to presenting your idea in English to an international jury. It’s ready-to-use material for your portfolio, a thesis topic, and a strong point on your resume—participating in a global technology program alongside an Asian partner sounds much better than just another ordinary course project.

What does the application require?

The application form is detailed: it includes, among other things, a market analysis, a business model, and an implementation plan. Responses should be brief and to the point—you are not expected to write lengthy essays. Your progress is automatically saved in your browser, so you can return to edit your application at any time. Applications must be submitted in English.

Date

Submissions may be sent through August 5, 2026.
