We would like to invite you to the opening of the illustrations for Ka Mochi's latest book "Matsuri", which will be held on April 25 at 5:00 pm in the Main Hall B/1, at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology.

About the author:

Kasia Mochi

She was born in Warsaw, Poland. Her passion and work is art, illustration and writing. After graduating from college in Warsaw, she took up fashion and drawing. She worked in the monthly magazines "Pani" and "Twój Styl". She lived for many years in Japan. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions, including Tokyo Designers Week, the Shibuya Art Awards at the Hikarie Gallery in Tokyo, the BDFIL Festival de Bande Dessinée in Lausanne. Twice, in 2015 and 2017, she was awarded an artist residency at the A.I.R. Kamoe Art Center program in Hamamatsu. She taught art workshops at Shizuoka Daigaku Gakkuin University for two years. She illustrates texts for "Pismo" magazine and teaches Visual Journalism (graphic design publishing) at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw. At the beginning of 2020, the Tatarak publishing house published her debut book for children (and a little for adults, too) titled "The Children of Hamamatsu. "Children of Hamamatsu".
