1. What influenced you to pursue an MBA at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology?
I was looking for an MBA to help me organize and expand the knowledge I had gained with startups. My goal was to gain more insight into the specifics of the IT market in Poland, as I had previously worked outside the country. I believe that the MBA program for the IT industry conducted by the Polish-Japanese Academy of Computer Technology in Warsaw teaches practical skills perfectly, so that graduates find their way freely on the job market.
2. How do you recall your time at MBA 4 IT at PJAIT? What was the most significant thing for you during the studies themselves?
In addition to the subject matter and new insights into the topics I have dealt with so far, the most important thing for me was the activity and observation of the numerous discussions among the participants among themselves and with the lecturers.
3. What areas from the curriculum covered during the MBA program were most relevant and useful to you in your professional life?
I applied the material I had learned from the college classes on an ongoing basis in my professional work, which helped me a lot in shaping and processing my ideas and the whole strategy in the company. I learned a lot from the participants and lecturers, as we openly discussed a wide variety of topics. What I found most valuable were the constructive comments from the study participants, who had more professional experience, and the feeedback from the lecturers on practical solutions.
I evaluate both our cooperation - MBA students - and the contact between student and lecturer very well, and hope that the relationship we have created will also transfer to new areas.
4. How did your MBA study contribute to your career development?
I postponed my MBA until I had more work experience or was in a situation that would allow the experience from attending the program to transfer to a real job. I believe that my studies had a measurable impact in that I was able to be promoted 8 times in 2 years. I started my studies as an architect and developer, and ended up in another company already as a manager with his team and responsibility for global strategy.
5. What tips could you give to potential MBA candidates?
I think it's important to have an MBA reference at work, so I wouldn't recommend it to recent college graduates. The greatest value, is the exchange of experience and contacts for the future. I would be happy to engage in professional cooperation with a colleague, colleagues as well as lecturers from the studies in the future. I ended up with an exceptional group!
