Cooperation between Poland and Vietnam: PJAIT and HCEM

New chapter in Poland-Vietnam academic cooperation: PJAIT and HCEM join forces in educating engineers of the future for modern education in AI and Data Science

On July 29, 2025, a ceremony was held in Hanoi to sign a cooperation agreement between the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information TechnologyPJAIT) and the Hanoi College of Electro-Mechanics (HCEM). The event inaugurated an innovative engineering curriculum in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science jointly implemented by the two universities.

The cooperation agreement was signed by the Rector of PJAIT Dr. Jerzy Pawel Nowacki, Professor of PJAIT , and the Rector of HCEM Dr. Dong Van Ngoc.
The training program was developed with the participation of experts from Poland, Japan, Vietnam, Canada and Australia, and involves four semesters of study in Vietnam and three in Poland.

Classes will be conducted in English, and the newly established GLOVIA CENTER in Hanoi - a state-of-the-art Research and Education Center for Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics and Robotics - will become a local center for innovation and development of AI technologies, offering practical preparation for work in high-tech sectors.

On the part of PJAIT , the event was attended by PJAIT Rector Dr. Jerzy Paweł Nowacki, Prof. PJAIT, Dr. Aldona Drabik, Prof. PJAIT - Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Prof. Grzegorz Marcin Wójcik - Head of the Department of Intelligent Systems and Data Science, Dr. Ewelina Panas - PJAIT Coordinator for Poland-Vietnam Cooperation.

The event was graced with the presence of Ms. Joanna Skoczek, Head of the Polish Embassy post in Hanoi, emphasizing the importance of this initiative for the development of academic relations between Poland and Vietnam.

The ceremony of signing and sealing the cooperation between the Universities and High Schools was covered on state television.

As the PJAIT Rector stressed, the Agreement is not just a formal act, but a permanent bridge between Poland and Vietnam, between cultures, institutions and - above all - people.

The partnership with HCEM CAO ĐẲNG CĐƠ ĐIỆN HÀ NỘI, one of the largest and most reputable
technical universities in Vietnam, is an important step in the internationalization of PJAIT and will significantly contribute to building lasting bridges between Poland and Vietnam in the field of higher education.
