Every year, Carol Wahler and, since 2025, Joe Newton—Executive Directors of the New York Type Directors Club (TDC)—put together eight large black boxes filled with award-winning projects from the TDC Annual Competition. These packages, which later form the so-called traveling exhibitions, are sent to France, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Spain, and various locations across the United States. Rounding out the list is Poland. This makes the Polish editions of the TDC exhibitions a truly special event for the Central European region.
