The actions described in the work, often resulting from a rebellion dictated by an anti-consumerist stance, involve subversive practices that "disrupt" the reception of the work, and the appropriated object, creating an entirely new semiotic layer, exploring our relationship to advertising, images, art itself and - everyday objects. Common subject is an ideal canvas for artists addressing the themes of mass reproduction of art, and the fetishization and worship we place on things. The result of this work is eight objects, each created in the spirit of the art appropriation strategy.
