Scrum in Practice: How Do Agile Teams Deliver IT Projects?

With three strikes of the mace, PJAIT Rector, DSc Jerzy Paweł Nowacki, opened the thirtieth academic year in the history of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology. Ahead of the entire academy community are intense months dedicated to acquiring knowledge, achieving success, and striving for seemingly impossible goals.
On October 4, 2023, we gathered for a special inauguration of the 2023/2024 academic year. The ceremony was enriched by the presence of distinguished guests:
– Ambassador of Japan to Poland, Mr. Miyajima Akio,
– Deputy Mayor of the Capital City of Warsaw, Ms. Renata Kaznowska,
– rectors and vice-rectors of partner academies,
– directors and deputy directors of research institutions and museums, company presidents, and representatives of PJAIT's flagship partners – Orange and WP,
as well as friends of the academy who have continuously supported its activities since its inception.
In his ceremonial speech, PJAIT Rector, DSc Jerzy Paweł Nowacki, emphasized the mission of the academy pursued since its establishment and congratulated the female and male students as well as the teaching staff on their high achievements.
Ambassador of Japan to Poland, Mr. Miyajima Akio, recalled important moments in the history of Polish-Japanese relations, and Deputy Mayor of Warsaw Ms. Renata Kaznowska delivered the words of Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski, wishing the students to find lifelong friendships during their studies. Student and PhD student representatives also took the floor, addressing their peers from the academy corridors and lecture halls.
However, this event could not have taken place without the students beginning their educational journey within the walls of the Polish-Japanese Academy, who were also with us online. Those present at the ceremony proudly took their oath, symbolizing their admission to our academy community. We wish them that their studies will be an unforgettable moment in their lives.
The ceremony was enriched by the singing of the WULS Choir under the direction of Dr. Paweł Choina.
