Benjamin Hanussek and Chris Barney met in 2022 at BostonFIG in the United States, where they began regularly exchanging ideas on educational topics. In 2023. Chris Barney, a lecturer at Northeastern University Boston, visited PJAIT, to conduct a workshop on game design. During this visit, the men decided to strengthen cooperation between their institutions. The partnership aims to benefit their students and experiment with innovative approaches to teaching game development, resulting in the "Poland in Pixels" project.


Benjamin Hanussek

Works as an LQA Specialist at Wargaming, with a professional background in video game testing and localization. In 2022, he founded PJAIT Game Lab as an initiative to offer educational activities in game design and development for students. Since then, he has been coordinating various activities such as game jams and workshops, while also supervising student diplomas in the field of Game Studies.

Christopher Barney

Professor Barney worked in the games industry for a decade before joining the Northeastern Games faculty where he now serves as the Program Coordinator for Undergraduate Games Programs. His shipped titles include Poptropica as well as the FunBrain educational games website. He is currently working on the second edition of his Pattern Language for Game Design Textbook.

An anthropologist working in the Promotion Department at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology (PJAIT), she specializes in organizing a wide range of events both on and off-campus. In her role, she combines her passion for anthropology with her project management and promotion skills to support the academic and cultural development of the PJAIT community. Co-organized Poland in Pixels event.

Recent graduate from Northeastern University with a passion for game development. Proficient in creating game art, ranging from UI pixel art in Photoshop to 3D environment design in Maya and Blender. I aim to enhance games with compelling narrative and innovative mechanics with complementing immersive environmental storytelling.
