Modular program structure within contextual pathways
Cognitive science is a state-of-the-art degree program offering an interdisciplinary program combining a variety of perspectives and providing a broad context within several thematically intertwined contextual tracks consisting of subjects structured in a modular form, developed over several semesters:
in a technological context, including information theory, behavioral economics, psychometrics, neuroscience, based on technological tools and developments (cognitive context).
enabling deep immersion in the latest capabilities related to artificial intelligence and data processing, building a step-by-step toolkit and understanding of the technical context through a modular approach.
allow to set the knowledge gained in the broader context of the socio-cultural environment of modern technology applications, especially in the context of Japan's cultural traditions and contemporary trends in its media market.
Targets the processes of creating and prototyping new technological solutions in the broad context of the opportunities and demands of a modern knowledge-based and digital economy (socio-economic context).
provides comprehensive tools for effective design and development of technology solutions based on modern software and market trends (creative context).
provides opportunities for direct interaction and learning about hardware and software solutions that are the foundation of the modern knowledge economy (hardware, cloud, Internet of Things and security technologies).
After the fourth semester, students have a choice of classes in two specialized areas, implemented in semesters V and VI:
- area specialized service, product and experience design, focused on designing complex digital services and products, with an emphasis on usability, aesthetics and technology.
- area specialized interaction and interface design, focusing on human-computer communication, interfaces and user experience, sensory and emotional interactions, ergonomics, and design of digital environments.
