Modular program structure within contextual pathways

Cognitive Science is a modern program offering an interdisciplinary curriculum that combines diverse perspectives and provides a broad context through several thematically interwoven contextual pathways composed of courses designed in a modular form and developed over several semesters:

Cognitive Information Processing

in a technological context, including information theory, behavioral economics, psychometrics, and neuroscience, based on tools and technological advancements (cognitive context).

Artificial Intelligence and Data Science

enabling deep immersion in the latest capabilities related to artificial intelligence and data processing, gradually building, within a modular approach, a toolkit and understanding of the technical context.

Digital Media and Culture

allowing students to situate acquired knowledge within a broader socio-cultural context of modern technology applications, especially in relation to Japanese cultural traditions and contemporary trends in its media market.

Technology Market

focused on the processes of creating and prototyping new technological solutions within the broad context of opportunities and demands of a modern knowledge-based and digital economy (socio-economic context).

Digital Content

providing comprehensive tools for effective design and creation of technological solutions based on modern software and market trends (creative context).

IT Tools and Cybersecurity

offering opportunities for direct interaction with and understanding of hardware and software solutions that form the foundation of a modern knowledge-based economy (hardware technologies, cloud computing, Internet of Things, and security).

After the fourth semester, students can choose courses within two specialization tracks, carried out in semesters V and VI:

  1. Specialization track: Service, Product, and Experience Design, focused on designing comprehensive digital services and products, with an emphasis on usability, aesthetics, and technology.
  2. Specialization track: Interaction and Interface Design, focused on human-computer communication, interfaces and user experience, sensory and emotional interactions, ergonomics, and the design of digital environments.
