Antoni Ulenberg, Head of System and Hardware Base at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Computer Technology in Gdansk, talks about Windows 10 withdrawal and orphanware.
Listen to the broadcast on RDC:
As of October 2025, Microsoft will end support for Windows 10. This means that the system will no longer receive security updates or new features.
At PJAIT , we view this change as a step toward development and modernity. It's a good time to open up to the newer technologies and safer working environments that are standard in the IT industry. The vast majority of our hardware is long overdue for an upgrade!
- Computers running Windows 10 will continue to function, but it is recommended to move to newer solutions.
- Microsoft also offers the possibility of a temporary extension of support, which will facilitate the gradual implementation of changes.
The end of support for Windows 10 opens up space for:
- greater digital security,
- access to modern educational and design tools,
- learning from current market solutions used by companies around the world.
