Specialized area, Master's degree - Project management
The area of project management focuses on issues of combining IT with management and business aspects, on organizational issues in IT projects, and on IT applications in which the key problem is the analysis of the problem domain. Graduates of this area can be valued specialists in the following areas, among others:
- Leading design, programming and implementation teams,
- leadership positions in project and process organizations,
- Any projects (IT software and infrastructure projects),
- Consulting companies, banks, software development departments, IT infrastructure maintenance, etc.
In addition to the issues of implementing IT projects, this area also addresses the support of any projects by solutions using IT, as well as IT applications in management and the economic and management dimensions of IT projects.
Elective subjects required or recommended for a scope in the area of project management
- Project management (required, unless similar topics were pursued as part of a completed first degree)
- Advanced modeling and analysis of information systems (recommended)

- Supporting project management or project communication with IT tools
- Implement or improve the organization's methodology for conducting projects,
- Organizational and IT support for human resource management,
- Organizational and IT support for stakeholder management in the project,
- Human factor issues in IT projects,
- Analysis of the effectiveness of traditional or agile methods of IT project implementation,
- Solutions to support requirements engineering in IT projects,
- Solutions for risk management in IT projects,
- The scalability of agile methodologies,
- Blockchain technology-based project financing methods,
- Service lifecycle in the context of ITIL.

The selection of the scope in the Department of Computer Science is made after completing a questionnaire.
The questionnaire is to be filled out by mal second-year students of Master's degree in the Faculty of Computer Science.
