We invite you to a unique, one-of-a-kind calligraphy performance, "A Brush with Silence," which will take place onThursday, December 11, 2025, from 6:00 p.m . to 7:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Reformed Church in Warsaw at al. Solidarności 74 (near Plac Bankowy).

For an hour, 20 calligraphers from around the world will work in the church, quietly creating their works in various alphabets and writing traditions.
This is a unique opportunity to see calligraphy as a living process – focused, meditative, and at the same time expressive.

A special guest at the event will be world-renowned calligraphy artist and performer Brody Neuenschwander, whose works and projects are known around the world.

Brody Neuenschwander is an artist who has revolutionized the understanding of calligraphy, treating it as a fully-fledged medium of contemporary art. He combines letters with images, transcending the boundaries between text and visuality and using a variety of materials and techniques—from paper to film and performance. His projects, which combine writing traditions from around the world, have shown that calligraphy can be dynamic, experimental, and culturally significant. As a result, Neuenschwander has become one of the most important artists redefining the role of writing in art.

The event is open to all lovers of the art of writing, culture, and silence.
