Students from PJAIT and the Lahti Institute, together with the 60+ community from the DwA Community Center, are exploring the symbolism of aging and transformation through mask-making. The workshop takes place October 21-26 and November 25-29, focusing on #UniversalDesign for the elderly.

Universal Design (UD), or universal design, is an approach to creating products, environments and services that are accessible and usable by the widest possible range of users, regardless of their age, abilities or limitations. The goal of this approach is to eliminate barriers to design and provide equal opportunities for all, regardless of their physical, sensory or intellectual abilities. Universal Design is particularly important in the context of social inclusivity, as it seeks to eliminate barriers, enabling everyone to participate fully in social, educational and professional life.
