On May 5, 2023 at 19:00 the opening of Dr. Piotr Żaczek's solo exhibition "Under the Line of the Horizon" took place at the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Ostrow Wielkopolski.

The exhibition features 50 drawings and prints made in color linocut technique.

The exhibition runs from May 5 to 26, 2023 at the Contemporary Art Gallery in Ostrow Wielkopolski.


Piotr Żaczek, a Varsovian, born 1966. Graduate of the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1991, diploma in the graphics studio of Roman Artymowski and the painting studio of Jerzy Tchórzewski), and currently a lecturer at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology.

He works in printmaking, drawing and painting. Author of more than a dozen individual exhibitions, including in Ciechanow, Columbus (USA), Kazimierz Dolny, Lublin, Ostroleka, Radzyn Podlaski, Slubice, Milanowek, Warsaw participant in more than 250 group exhibitions in Poland, Argentina, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Spain, Indonesia, Canada, Macedonia, Germany, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey, USA, Hungary, Italy.

Honored and awarded in competitions, among others. At the Polish Graphics Triennial in Katowice (1991 and 1994); Polish Woodcut and Linocut Quadrennial in Olsztyn (1991, 1999, 2007); Linolschnitt Heute in Bietigheim - Bissingen (1992); graphic design znad Wisły in Włocławek (1996); graphic design Warsaw (2007, 2008 and 2014); 15th International Biennial of Small Graphic Forms in Lodz (2014); IX Biennial International Mini Print Exhibit, Vancouver (2016; Triennial of Polish Contemporary Drawing in Lubaczow (2020, 1st prize).
