Easter wishes from the Rector of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology

All PJAIT students are invited to attend a lecture, dedicated to the issue of copyright in the context of AI, which will be given by experts from Hasik, Rheims & Partners law firm. The lecture, entitled "AI and Copyright: Walking the line between innovation and infringement," will be held on April 17 from 10:15-11:45 am in the A1 auditorium. The lecture will be held in English. Registration is mandatory.

Attorney Joanna Wozniak
Joanna is an experienced lawyer specializing in intellectual property (IP) and new technology and media (TMT) law, with nearly 20 years of experience at leading law firms, including Wardynski & Partners, Maruta Wachta and Noerr.She advises a wide range of clients in the IP sector, from luxury goods manufacturers, cosmetic brands and industrial design producers, to artists, theaters, film producers, TV stations, software houses, patent owners and cloud service operators.
She has handled numerous design cases, including landmark disputes concerning design protection under copyright law and calculation of damages under CJEU case law.
Recognized as a Rising Star by Legal500 (2022-2024) and IP Stars (2023), Joanna has also been recommended by IAM Patent since 2021.
Aleksandra Bowanko
Aleksandra is a trainee attorney who mainly works with clients in the entertainment industry, assisting them in protecting their rights - from trademarks and copyrights to reputation protection. She advises on the compliance of advertising and television materials with legal regulations and fair competition rules, minimizing the risks associated with content creation. She has given lectures on media, film and music law at institutions such as the Warsaw Film School and at events such as the Pol'and'Rock Festival.
Zuzanna Kietlinska
Zuzanna is a trainee attorney specializing in copyright and contract law, with a particular emphasis on contracts for the music and film industries. She prepares customized contracts on copyright issues, including licensing provisions, and structures long-term cooperation agreements.
She advises Polish and international clients on the protection of photography, know-how, design, business secrets and the enforcement of trademark rights.
Zuzanna also assists in the registration of exclusive rights and participates in negotiations and litigation on trademark infringement. In addition, she has given numerous lectures on copyright law to the entertainment and technology industries, including a lecture at the Warsaw Film School.
