What is disinformation?
Last month marked the launch of the social campaign "(Z)mierz informację", of which the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology is a partner.
For several years, we have been observing a growing wave of disinformation in the public space. Due to its universal nature, the internet is becoming the space where this is particularly visible.
False content concerns many topics in our lives. The COVID-19 pandemic, vaccine safety, the course of the war in Ukraine, and Russian propaganda concerning both Poles and refugees are just examples of problems used to manipulate our society by various interest groups.
The aim of the campaign is to draw attention to the problem of disinformation and the widespread inability to recognize it. The activities are funded by the Landecker Foundation in cooperation with Humanity in Action as part of the Landecker Democracy Fellowship.
