What is disinformation?
Last month saw the launch of the social campaign "(Z)Measure Information", of which the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology is a partner.
For several years now, we have been observing a wave of disinformation gaining momentum in the public space. Due to its universal nature, the space where this is particularly evident is becoming the Internet.
Fake content affects many topics in our lives. The COVID-19 pandemic, the safety of vaccinations, the course of the war in Ukraine, Russian propaganda regarding both Poles and refugees are just examples of issues that are being used to manipulate our society by various interest groups.
The goal of the campaign is to draw attention to the problem of disinformation and the widespread lack of skills to recognize it. The activities are funded by the Landecker Foundation in cooperation with Humanity in Action under the Landecker Democracy Fellowship.
