1. Online registration

Create an account on the recruitment portal: rekrutacja.pjwstk.edu.pl

You will receive an activation link, and after activating your account, you will gain access to your profile. Fill out the forms and be sure to upload your photo. Make sure to choose the field of study you are applying for.

2. Provision of documents

Prepare the required documents, save them in.pdf format, upload the relevant files to the recruitment system or immediately deliver the originals to the PJAIT Admission Office. You can also send them by mail (registered mail) or courier.

Required documents:

1. application for admission to studies – the completed form can be downloaded from your profile in the admission system or obtained directly from the Admissions Office. Remember to sign the application!
2. high school diploma – the candidate submits the original, a copy, or a notarized photocopy. If the candidate took an exam other than the Polish matura, they are also required to provide a translation of the aforementioned exam, an apostille (or legalization), and its nostrification (if required)*
3. a digital ID-format photo uploaded to your profile in the online recruitment system for the student ID card and application purposes. Candidates who do not upload a photo in accordance with the guidelines are required to provide a printed version of the photo.
4. proof of payment for the qualification interview (150 PLN). Payment to the individual account number visible on your recruitment profile

NOTE: Foreigners who want to study in Polish-language programs must have a communicative command of the Polish language. The interview verifies language proficiency.

* Nostrification of certificates is carried out by the Regional Education Authority (Kuratorium Oświaty). Exempted from the nostrification procedure are persons who hold diplomas issued by EU, OECD, and EFTA countries, as well as countries with which Poland has concluded agreements on the mutual recognition of education.

Apostille/Legalization does not apply to citizens of the European Union, EFTA, Australia, Belarus, Canada, Ukraine, USA, and Great Britain.

3. Studies qualification

Admission to studies is based on submitting a portfolio of artwork and an admission interview. 

Admission interviews take place on-site at the University's premises; online interviews are intended only for foreigners who are not currently in Poland.

The candidate must sign up for an interview (through the enrolment portal).

The candidate brings the portfolio with them on the day of the interview.

Foreigners for the online interview send us a portfolio with a detailed description of the work (format, technique of execution, title and date of creation). The portfolio should not exceed 25MB, a minimum of 100DPI and be in one PDF file. Portfolios should be sent to rekrutacja@pja.edu.pl no later than three working days before the interview date. Upon successful evaluation of the portfolio, the candidate will be scheduled for a Skype interview. 

Admission interview dates for full-time Polish-language programs

Online interviews for foreigners staying outside of Poland

The meeting will take place on the Google Meets platform – having a Gmail account is required.
The portfolio must be sent 3 business days before the interview date.

In order to sign up for the qualification interview, the candidate is required to choose a suitable date in the enrolment portal.

1. Preliminary interview in the area of:
   1. painting
   2. architecture
   3. theatre
   4. film
   5. exhibitions
   6. museums
2. Portfolio of works – the portfolio of works must be submitted directly at the qualification interview.
   1. Drawing – preferred format 100×70 or 70×100.
      1. drawing of a human figure from life – minimum format 50×70 and 70×50, minimum 5 drawings
      2. still life – minimum format 50×70 and 70×50, minimum 5 drawings
      3. other forms of drawings (any number of works).
   2. Painting
      1. landscape – a painting created in any technique on paper or cardboard (minimum format 50×70 and 70×50; minimum 5 paintings)
      2. still life – a painting created in any technique on paper or cardboard (minimum format 50×70 and 70×50; minimum 5 paintings)
      3. other painting forms (any number of works)
   3. Photography
      1. color or black and white – can be a portrait photograph, landscape, any composition, or reportage. The photograph can be provided in the form of prints (minimum 10 pieces in A5 format or larger) or presented on a laptop / tablet in digital form.

Portfolio for part-time studies is prepared according to the guidelines above. The number of types of works (figure, still life, etc.) is optional.

 We would like to remind you that the decision on admission to studies is made only after meeting all formal requirements, i.e.: completing online registration, submitting the set of required documents and successfully passing the qualification interview.

Results of the qualification interviews will be sent via email within 1 working day after the completion of the qualification interview.

Upon meeting all the conditions described above, the academy has two weeks to send a decision on qualification for studies.

4. Contract

Within two weeks from the date of the Admissions Committee's decision, you should pay the first tuition installment and sign the contract with the academy.

The contract is a type of agreement defining the obligations of PJAIT towards you and yours towards PJAIT. PREVIEW

Foreigners who will need a certificate confirming the commencement of studies in order to obtain/extend a visa or residence card are required to pay tuition for at least a semester in advance.

If your studies are paid for by e.g. your employer, you can sign a contract with an Academy-Sponsor-Student annex. When signing the contract, please report such a need.

Note: For candidates signing the contract a week before the end of the PJAIT enrolment, PJAIT does not guarantee the issuance of a student ID and the activation of the account on the academy server before classes begin.

Once you are accepted to PJAIT, study-related fees (e.g., tuition) should be paid to your individual account number, which is available on your student profile in the virtual Students' Office: dziekanat.pja.edu.pl
