A webinar for candidates from Vietnam is coming soon!

As every year, a representative of the Student Government of our University took part in the renowned 10th Expert Conference on Student Rights, which took place from 24.08 - 27.08.2023 in Cracow. Our delegate was Michal Orzylowski, a part-time student at the Department of Computer Science and Chairman of the Student Government.
The dynamics of student rights and responsibilities is an important aspect of academic life. Evolving regulations that govern the rights of students (such as the Law on Higher Education and Science, the University's statutes, and the rules of study) are subject to constant change. Therefore, this field requires constant expansion of knowledge.
The event was attended by representatives of 88 different universities from all over the country. The total training time during the Conference was about 12 hours.
Two days of training were held during these four days. The first day focused on substantive aspects. Sources of knowledge regarding student rights and responsibilities, existing higher education regulations for students, and planned changes in regulations that will take effect in the coming academic year were discussed. On the second day, the focus was on training methodology and effective knowledge transfer. The skills gained will help to further promote information about students' rights and obligations.
At the end of the Conference, an engaging debate "Support from universities in defending the rights of students" was held with exceptional guests from the academic community, specialists in the field of student rights. The debate presented a variety of viewpoints on the rights and responsibilities of students, both from the perspective of those currently studying and those who have already completed their education, but are still connected to the university community. As part of the ceremonial conclusion of the Conference, certificates of Student Rights Expert were presented to participants.
