The Concepts research project, on which Professor Agnieszka Ziemiszewska - a lecturer at PJAIT - has been working with an international team for the past two years, has been shortlisted for presentation at the 2025 AIGA Design Educators Conference, Chicago, USA!(https://www.facebook.com/AIGAdec, https://www.instagram.com/aiga_educators)

Concepts is a project focusing on the individual understanding of concepts and their visual interpretation in different cultures. It explores whether concepts can have a universal dimension or are subjective adaptations of reality. A key component of the project is the AI component - participants create visual works and descriptions and prompts for selected concepts. Based on these, images are generated using AI tools, allowing the author's artistic interpretation to be compared with the generated vision of artificial intelligence.

The project will be presented at the 2025 AIGA Design Educators Conference (Illinois State University, USA), Weave, June 12-13, 2025.

Weave explores the threads that connect us and the collective impact of design education. This year's theme encourages the interweaving of diverse perspectives, fostering collaboration and co-creating an inclusive and transformative future for design education.

Here are some photos from the project's recent presentation at the Łódź Design Festival, where Concepts was selected as part of a nationwide open call.
