Members of the Kaizen Debate Club, a student research group at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, once again took part in the nationwide debate series “Poland: What’s Next?”, organized in collaboration with Telewizja Polska. The event, which this time took place at the University of Rzeszów, brought together students from various universities across Poland, providing them with a forum to exchange views on the most important challenges facing the younger generation.
The “Poland: What’s Next?” debate series is a public forum in which students and experts discuss key social, economic, and cultural issues. The program’s primary goal is to give the younger generation a voice and create a platform for expressing opinions on the country’s future.
The Rzeszów leg of the debate focused specifically on Generation Z—its values, expectations regarding the job market, and social engagement. Participants sought to answer questions regarding young people’s lifestyles, their perceptions of contemporary Poland, and the areas of change they consider most important. During the meeting, they also reflected on challenges such as feelings of uncertainty about the future, social relationships, and the role of new technologies in young people’s lives.
The participation of PJAIT students PJAIT yet another debate in this series underscores their active engagement in public life and the development of their debating skills at the national level. In the Kaizen Debate Club academic society, students develop skills in argumentation, critical thinking, and public speaking. Regular participation in debates, such as “Poland: What’s Next?”, is an important part of these activities.
