The 13th Machine Intelligence and Digital Interaction – MIDI Conference is behind us, once again bringing together experts, scientists, and enthusiasts of new technologies. This year's edition proved to be exceptionally inspiring, combining scientific presentations with interactive experiences and creative activities for participants.
The conference was opened by a keynote speech by Dr. Marko Orel from Prague University of Economics and Business, devoted to Human Centered Design for VR office collaboration, showing how human-centered design shapes the future of work in virtual offices.
During the day, there were also panel discussions devoted to current challenges in artificial intelligence, includingAI ethics in higher education, social and legal aspects of AI, andinterdisciplinary research in the fields of aviation, digital heritage, and biodiversity.
Participants also had the opportunity to listen to lectures by invited guests, including Dr. Magdalena Wróbel-Lachowska (Embodied Care: From Human Data to AI-Supported Telecare for Older Adults) and Prof. Joanna Kurowska-Pysz and Prof. Adam Gałuszka (Human-Technology Interaction in Business – AI-Driven Addressable TV Platform).
This year's MIDI conference is not only about lectures and panels – it is also an opportunity for active and creative experiences. Participants could:
– play retro computer games and projects created by PJAIT students,
– express their creativity by painting their own corporate rats created from 3D prints – an ideal opportunity to combine learning with creative fun.
There were also opportunities for networking over coffee and the MIDI 2025 Best Paper Awards ceremony, which highlighted the exceptional achievements of the conference participants.
We would like to thank all speakers, participants, and organizers for their commitment, inspiring discussions, and unforgettable atmosphere. This year's edition showed that MIDI 2025 is a place where knowledge meets passion, and technology meets creativity.
