Important information:

  • In order to enter the university premises you need to collect a free wristband from volunteers. Wristbands will be distributed at two entrances to the PJAIT - from 86 Koszykowa Street and Nowogrodzka Street
  • The entrance from Koszykowa Street will be available from 19:00 to 01:00
  • The entrance from Nowogrodzka Street will be available from 19:00 to 22:00
  • Buildings B and C are closed to Museum Night visitors

Especially for Museum Night, we have prepared a set of great Japanese attractions for you!
You can read about each of them below.

Concert of traditional Japanese music

Join us for a unique concert by a Japanese artist. Hisako Tachibana is a Master (shihan) of the koto harp and shamisen, representing the Miyagi school. She has been playing solo concerts and collaborating with various instrumentalists for many years, and her repertoire includes traditional as well as contemporary pieces.

The concert will be enriched with visuals prepared by a student of PJAIT, Natasha Pierzchała-Suska. The concert is curated by Prof. Jakub Karpoluk, lecturer at PJAIT.

The concert will be held twice:
20:00 1st concert
21:00 2nd concert

Screen printing

Screen printing is a very old, traditional method of decorating materials. At the booth you will be able to see how the screen printing method works and get a unique bag! And the bag will be unique and one-of-a-kind, also due to the printed design created especially for the Night of Museums.

Foodtruck Tona of Taste is great food served hot! Settle down in a recliner and enjoy some delicious dumplings!

Point with onigiri

Try a popular Japanese sandwich! Onigiri is made of rice formed into a triangular shape and wrapped in nori. In the center is a filling. Choose your favorite filling and enjoy onigiri!

A furoshiki is a square scarf that is used to impressively pack, wrap and carry items. See and learn how to make a bag or backpack out of the Japanese furoshiki scarf. We will be showing up to 10 different ways to use furoshiki as an eco-bag!

We will write your name in Japanese! Using a Japanese word processor, we will print your name in Japanese syllabary - katakana.

Kanzashi hair ornament stand

Kanzashi is a traditional Japanese hair ornament, the most popular of which is the pin. We will teach you how to pin up hair of various lengths with a handmade kanzashi pin in an instant and elegant way.

Kumihimo is the traditional art of braiding strings from Japan. It has been practiced for more than a dozen centuries. Using a special disk, you will learn to braid your own unique cord with us, from which you can make, for example, a bracelet.

Student film screening PJAIT

See an overview of the most interesting video works by students of the Faculty of New Media Art PJAIT! A cross-section of student work awaits us, from typographic animations, to abstract visualizations, to documentation of video mappings and interactive installations. The films showcase the students' extensive skills in 2D animation, 3D animation and site-specific interactive solutions. The presented works were created in 2020-2024, mostly within the framework of graphic design Dynamic and Video Mapping classes, under the supervision of Olga Wroniewicz, lecturer of PJAIT. We start after 10pm!
