The project is funded by the grant "Focus on IT integrated program for the development of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology." Enrollment includes female students of the Faculties of Computer Science and Information Management at PJAIT. The project provides for the creation of two practice groups, which will be held online (using Microsoft Teams) and onsite, of your choice. Places are limited.

The course is led by Dominika Wnuk, a lecturer at PJAIT.

Edition II — 16.12.2022–15.04.2023

Unsure if Python is a good language to start with? I assure you it is!

Did you know that Python is used at NASA?
Wondering where the name Python comes from?
Did you know that YouTube is largely built on Python?

We will be answering these and many other questions during the PJAIT Python Project Lab! Many programmers already use Python – now it's your turn! An additional course with practical Python tasks (beginner level)! The course includes 30 hours of practical classes on the basics of programming in Python.

The Python Project Lab will cover topics such as: introduction to the language, functions, and object-oriented programming. These skills will then be used to program the most popular data structures and algorithms. We will look at strings, arrays, queues and stacks, graphs, and more. These skills are crucial when looking for a job as a software developer and are often required and tested in preliminary interviews for major tech companies and beyond.
What will you get after completing the course?
— A certificate of completion of a 30-hour beginner Python course.
— A professional skills assessment at the Academic Career Office.
— Strong foundations to start learning more advanced topics such as data processing, algorithm implementation, web application development, or data science and machine learning.
— Preparation for consultations with employers.
