Study program

Study program by yearbook:

The curriculum is divided into two parts:

  • Base teaching - uniform for all students;
  • specialized teaching - in accordance with the student's chosen specialization.

Studies at the Faculty of Computer Science at PJAIT Bytom are bachelor's degree conducted in full-time and part-time mode. The duration of full-time and part-time studies is 7 semesters. After the second year of study, the student will be able to choose area specializations that will develop his interests.

The creation of a practical profile based on the design method at PJAIT in Bytom is dictated by the availability of the unique equipment and laboratory facilities of the Research and Development Center (CBR) in the same building.

The CBR has been working vigorously since 2015, carrying out more than a dozen innovative projects in cooperation with other research units, hospitals and entrepreneurs, including: autonomous drone swarms, video data acquisition and analysis in the problem of face-based person identification, or posture and gait analysis in the diagnosis of movement disorders.

Project-Based Learning (PBL)

Do you think computer science is taught the same way everywhere? If so, read about the innovative method that is Project-Based Learning (PBL), which is the core curriculum for the computer science course at the newly opened branch in PJAIT Bytom.

PBL is a fascinating and engaging learning method that will allow you to explore knowledge in a completely new and inspiring way. Imagine not only getting information from books or lectures, but also taking on the role of creator, researcher and problem solver.

In PBL, you are the protagonist(s) of your learning:

- you take part in real projects that have real relevance to your field and to your future employer. As you delve deeper into the project, you develop not only your knowledge, but also your skills in critical thinking, teamwork and effective communication;
- during PBL you transform yourself into an active researcher, exploring new horizons and solving real-world problems;
- you conduct your own research, analyze data and put ideas into practice;
- you decide how to approach the challenge and how to find innovative solutions.
It's not just learning from theory - it's learning in action!
Let PBL be your learning adventure that opens the door to inspiring discoveries, interesting challenges and outstanding achievements. This is a time for learning that transforms into passion and skills that will serve you for a lifetime.

Ready to explore the world through your own projects? Get ready for PBL and find out what opportunities lie ahead!
