Does it pay to study at PJAIT? Is an engineering degree in Computer Science or Information Management a guarantee of good earnings? You don't have to divine the answers to these questions. The latest data from the Economic Fate of Graduates (ELA) clearly shows that YES!

ELA is a database containing data on graduates' earnings in the first year after graduation or unemployment levels. Data was recently published for graduates graduating in 2022. The statistics we are discussing are for all second-level majors at PJAIT in the engineering and technical sciences. computer science and Information Management in Warsaw are included in this category. If you're still thinking about choosing a degree program, it's worth checking out what the numbers say! 

The average earnings of our graduates in this field of science amounted to PLN 13,191 gross just one year after graduation. In addition to earnings, the WWZ (Relative Earnings Index), which compares the salary of graduates to the average earnings in their place of residence, was also reported. Our technical graduates achieved an impressive score of 1.7, meaning they earn 171% of the average earnings in their region.

Where do Graduates work PJAIT? 

Graduates of Computer Science and Information Management at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology find employment in a wide variety of IT and related sectors. They cover such positions as programmers, systems analysts, network administrators, IT security specialists, UX/UI designers, IT project managers, as well as researchers and university lecturers. 

Here are some examples of places of employment for our graduates:

Technology companies and softwarehouses 

Many graduates find jobs in large, well-known technology companies such as Google, Microsoft, IBM, Orange and Samsung, as well as in smaller, specialized softwarehouses.

Start-ups 

A significant number of graduates create their own start-ups or get involved in high-growth projects, where they can use their skills to create innovative products and services.

Financial industry 

Banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions employ our graduates to manage information systems, analyze data and ensure information security.

Telecommunications

There is a reason why we have established a strategic partnership with Orange Poland. Telecommunications companies are not just telephony! IT specialists, cyber-security specialists, programmers, researchers and analysts are employed to develop and maintain network infrastructure, but also to improve solutions such as 5G. 

E-commerce and retail 

The e-commerce and traditional retail industries are increasingly using IT solutions to manage sales, analyze customer behavior and optimize business processes.

Industry and manufacturing 

Our graduates work on production process automation, quality management systems and other industrial technologies.

Government and public institutions 

Various government entities employ IT specialists to manage IT infrastructure, protect data and develop information systems. Our graduates and teaching staff sit on the advisory boards of many government bodies, including NASK, the Ministry of Digitization. We are pleased that people in strategic positions in the Polish state began their careers studying at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology.  

IT Consulting 

Consulting firms hire specialists to advise on optimizing IT systems, managing IT projects and implementing new technologies.

Freelancing 

During the pandemic, the vast majority of our students (and now graduates) started their own businesses. They work independently, often on several projects simultaneously, boasting contracts with international companies and giants in the global IT market.
