Spring Open Video – Workshops

Who is it for?

Film Spring Open is an award-winning, interdisciplinary international educational workshop—one of the largest in Europe (300–350 participants)—that focuses on the future (AI) of audiovisual art.

Plenery is a film-making festival and hands-on learning experience led by outstanding filmmakers and technicians using the best AV equipment on the market.

Film Spring Open is an international, interdisciplinary event dedicated to the future of the audiovisual arts. Participants work in creative groups, carry out their own projects, and take part in lectures, film screenings, and workshops on modern equipment and technology. The program covers various areas of audiovisual production—from screenwriting and animation to interactive storytelling, visual effects, artificial intelligence, and new ways of telling stories.

The workshops are open to anyone interested in creating video content—regardless of experience, specialization, or the technology used. We especially encourage people with a background in computer science to participate: programmers, interaction designers, and creators working with AI, VR, digital tools, and new media.

Contemporary audiovisual projects emerge at the intersection of art, technology, and business. Multidisciplinarity is essential today, and Film Spring Open provides an opportunity to exchange experiences, experiment, and collaborate with people from various fields.

Join Film Spring Open and see for yourself what can happen when film meets technology!

In addition to the workshops, participants will have the opportunity to attend master classes, equipment workshops, screenings of award-winning films, and meetings with their creators, as well as gain knowledge about artificial intelligence and AI tools that support work in the creative industry.

The Film Spring Open outdoor sessions also provide an excellent opportunity to establish international contacts. Participants have the chance to form film crews and build professional relationships, which may lead to collaborative commercial projects after the workshops conclude.
